Ashley Gold

Ashley is a lawyer, insurance agent and former CEO and General Counsel who is accustomed to taking the fear out of the unknown.  Equal parts cheerleader, problem solver and risk manager, she works with companies and individuals to find value-based solutions to legal and compliance issues so they can get back to sales.

After 13 years leading the Insurors of Tennessee, she has deep expertise in risk management, insurance laws, workers compensation, and compliance.  A lobbyist for 15+ years, she worked tirelessly to ensure laws were passed that benefited her constituents and to revise laws that negatively impacted those industries to mitigate their impact. She is also an approved risk management educator for SwissRe/Westport, and delivers seminars on E&O Risk Management, workers compensation, legislative updates and other topics.

Having C-Suite experience at various companies, Ashley understands the business impact of legal issues. She brings this expertise to her clients and serves as a true outside general counsel for proactive, day-to-day legal advice working within her client's budget.

Additionally, she has experience in owning, leasing and closing real estate projects, and she is fully aware of the need to complete a transaction on time and within budget. Her depth of experience coupled with her team at Wood Stabell Law Group brings an understanding of the varied marketplaces in which their clients do business to provide holistic client service for whatever legal needs may arise.  This enables them to bring a “market-aware,” results-oriented approach to clients’ business needs. Let our industry understanding provide you with upfront pricing and a high level of client satisfaction.

Active in the Nashville community, Ashley has served as a board member and Chair of the Committee on Trustees on the Board of Oak Hill School, secretary on the Board of Directors of Independent Market Solutions, an LLC dedicated to supporting independent insurance agencies in their search for market access.  She is actively involved as a member of the Tennessee Bureau of Workers’ Compensation Employee Misclassification Advisory Committee. She previously served as a member and Board member for the Exchange Club of Nashville and was active in the Lawyer’s Association for Women.

Ashley enjoys swimming, biking and running and has completed multiple triathlons, including a half-ironman.  In addition to working out she enjoys snow skiing, scuba diving and traveling, both domestically and internationally. When sticking closer to home, she can be spotted supporting her son at Crew Regattas up and down the East coast.
